Account Deletion & Data Handling

Users of The Kirana Point app can delete their account and all associated personal data directly from the app at any time.


How to Delete Your Account

  1. Open The Kirana Point app
  2. Go to Profile → Danger Zone→ Delete Account→ OTP Verification
  3. Confirm your deletion request

Once confirmed, the deletion process starts immediately.


Data That Will Be Permanently Deleted

After account deletion, the following user data will be permanently erased from our systems:

  • User profile information (name, mobile number)
  • Saved delivery addresses
  • Order history and order details
  • Cart and wishlist data (if any)
  • App usage and preference data
  • Any linked device or session information

This data cannot be recovered once deleted.


Data Retention After Deletion

For legal, regulatory, and accounting purposes, we may retain limited, non-personal data for a defined period:

  • Transaction records (order ID, amount, tax details)
    Retained for up to 7 years, as required by Indian tax and accounting laws
  • These records do not contain personally identifiable information such as name, phone number, or address

No marketing, analytics, or communication data is retained after deletion.


Processing Time

  • Account deletion is processed immediately within the app
  • Data removal from backups (if any) may take up to 30 days, after which it is permanently purged

Important Notes

  • Once deleted, your account cannot be restored
  • You will need to create a new account to use the app again
